Portrait Session Information
For Portraits as Unique as You Are
Your portrait session is all about you, showcasing your personality inside and out. To make each portrait session as unique as you are, Katie is an on-location, natural light photographer. Portrait sessions take place on-location, either at your home or in a nearby setting determined by you and Katie.
Each portrait session lasts between 1 1/2 to 2 hours. You will receive a proofing gallery of your final images. Your final image selection is chosen by Katie, with each image edited (with a session typically delivering between 50 and 75 final portraits).
Reserving a Session
Each portrait session requires a creative fee to reserve Katie’s time as well as for her talent and creativity as a photographer. This fee is non-refundable and secures your session time and date.
When you book a session with Katie Keller, you are able to choose from two basic packages:
The Laguna Session is $275, and includes a DVD of your selected, high-resolution images. This session is perfect for the family who blogs, scrapbooks, and Facebooks to keep in touch. You will still have the ability to purchase larger prints through your proofing gallery, but will receive your completed, edited images to share with family and friends.
The Carlsbad Session is $150, and is perfect for the family who wants to order larger prints or an album. You still receive a digital copy of every print that you purchase, along with five web-sized images for sharing on the web (Facebook, blogs, etc.) and through email.
When you book a portrait session with Katie, you will receive a digital portrait guide which explains the two packages in greater detail, along with print packages and a-la-carte print prices to add on to your session at any time.

Engagement sessions are available to be booked as
traditional portrait sessions. However, engagement sessions are included in every wedding booked by Katie. Engagement sessions are a great way to be familiar with your photographer prior to the “big day”. In addition to prints, we offer a special custom-made wedding guestbook album featuring images from your engagement session to be displayed at your wedding reception.
