Christine and Alfie – UCLA Engagement Session Portrait Photographer

Well, L.A. certainly is a place for lovers. We confirmed this during the recent engagement shoot at UCLA for Christine and Alfie. We had a few different places in mind for the session, but I was so thrilled when we settled on UCLA.

I had not been on campus in a few years, and when I learned it was Alfie’s Alma Mater, I knew we just had to shoot there. It was during the shoot that Christine remembered they had spent their first date here.

The campus was clearly so meaningful to Alfie. As we walked, he reflected on his time spent there, recounting funny and sometimes serious stories about his four years as a double major. It really is not only a beautiful campus, but an oasis within the heart of Los Angeles. You feel as if you are in another world, where you’re safe to try anything and have the support of your friends and your newfound freedom around you.

We started outside the new art building and walked around the sculpture gardens.

I love when I ask couples if they’re okay with public displays of affection. Clearly, this was no problem for these two…

Our walking from place to place was so interesting with Alfie as our tour guide. He explained each building and the significance it had to him.

Fog rolled in over the campus and most of Bel Air, but that didn’t stop us from stirring up some steamy photos..

One thing I really love about UCLA is the diversity of textures and colors. You can face one direction and see stone, and another and see amazing, vibrant flowers and luscious lawns.
